The 5.8 Wireless Network System is Ideal for multi-camera, remote networked video and access control applications. The 5.8 Wireless Network System is a long range, outdoor system which quickly and easily facilitates wireless interconnectivity for 10/100 Base-T networks.
When used in conjunction with an EarthCam Camera System or a video server , the 5.8 GHz Wireless Point-to-Point System allows you to simultaneously transmit several channels of live video, data, and audio wirelessly to and from your EarthCam Cameras or Ethernet networks. This allows for remote video transmission and remote control of your camera’s PTZ features and DVRs.
Each system consists of one Access Point (AP) and one or more Subscriber Unit (SU) transceivers. The AP is a wireless hub that connects to any 10/100Base-T Ethernet backbone via an RJ45 connector. The AP communicates with associated SUs through a secure method ensuring data integrity and privacy. Each AP and SU consists of a 10 Mbps, direct-sequence spread-spectrum wireless transceiver, antenna, mounting hardware, and power supply. The AP comes integrated with an 18 dBi patch antenna and each SU is available with either the integrated 18 dBi patch antenna or the 27 dBi dish antenna which allows for long range transmission (up to 18 miles).
Applications: Monitoring of new construction sites, traffic, oil/gas pipelines, railroads, wildlife locations, water reservoirs and locations where phone lines are unavailable.
