Choosing a Webcam Solution: Megapixel Cameras

With the advent of Megapixel cameras, it was inevitable that network cameras would eventually merge with this technology. Megapixel Network Cameras are now available and provide a slightly new approach to IP based camera systems. Megapixel images provide very high-resolution images of excellent quality, but the images are large in file size and therefore it is not the best choice for full motion video or anything approaching it. It is however, an excellent choice for archiving a construction project or showing scenic views. It all depends on the goal that is trying to be achieved.
